Although still without a new Nest Bettina is not hibernating. She is still available for personalised workshops, however the scheduled workshops are going to be paused until a new Nest is found.
Bettina is taking the opportunity to spend time on her own art practice, attending group meetings and workshops at Qld Spinners Weavers and Fibre Artists. She isn’t participating in the Fibre Art Shop that the organisation is currently running in the Richard Randall Art Studio, in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. However many Foragers Nest Artists are participating. The exhibition runs until Sunday 29th and is well worth a visit. There are so many beautiful items crafted by local artists and artisans.
Bettina has been taking part in the Nancy Brown Semester course in Fabric Printing and Design at the Brisbane Institute of Art’ and will be participating in the exhibition running from Sat 28 to Fri 4 July. The opening event is Fri 27 at 6pm.
This will be the final newsletter via this platform. As of end of financial year we will be closing our WordPress site and domain. In future Foragers Nest can be found at foragersnest.square.site . Future notifications will come via this site.
