We have had a cancellation for our Coiled Fabric Basket Workshop this Sunday so there are extra spaces.

If you are interested in reusing old clothes and fabrics around the home this is a great technique to learn. It can be a wonderful way to give a worn out favourte clothing item a new life.

The workshop runs for 3 hours and you will leave with a small completed basket. Why not create something for Mum ready for Mother’s Day, or even better, gift Mum a class and spend the day together!

The workshop is being held at Queensland Spinners Weavers and Fibre Artists in the Emporium, the group’s store, giving you an opportunity to check out the range of materials in advance of QSWFA’s Open Day the following Saturday.

The QSWFA Open Day is held every year on the Saturday of Mother’s Day.

It’s a wonderful day with food, beautiful craft, artisan craft materials and baby animals.

Many of the artists who you found at Foragers Nest can also be found at Qld Spinners.  We love supporting local artists and those who also support them, so come along! You WILL have a wonderful time!

Did I mention the baby animals?

The same weekend Foragers Nest regular, Natalie Billing has a solo exhibition opening at The Loft in Redcliffe.

The opening event is 12-2 Sunday 11 May and the exhibition runs until 5 June.
